Unused Big Band Sheet Music?
Hi I am looking for some sheet music for my band. We play Big Band/ jazz sort of music (think Glenn Miller, Count Basie) and we are in desperate need of some more music. We do it for the love of it, not the money, so we have limited funds to buy new stuff. I was wondering if anyone has access to music they don't play anymore. For example, bands no longer playing, or schools. I would be willing to negotiate for the cost of shipping, but I am afraid I am unable to offer much (if anything) in the way of payment. Please have a think about it and let me know.
The Big Band Theory! Any Thoughts
I don't mean the TV Show, I am talking about real physics and science. Does anyone care any more about this stuff. I am studying it for fun not for college or a career but because I need something to do when my son takes his naps.Okay so let's get right into it. Inflationary Model or the Cyclic Model, which really does make more sense? Well, I see the Cyclic Model of the Big Bang making more sense, simply because the Inflationary Model has too many holes. A few questions I have for everyone are as follows: 1. Does time have a beginning? 2. If so, was the first second after the big bang the beginning of time? 3. Is it possible the universe goes for ever and never stops? 4. If the cyclic model is accurate in the history of the universe and how it was formed are there other universes in which life can be sustained on a planet or multiple planets? So, as some of you may have guessed, this is my attempt to get some real discussions going.Happy Friday Night...
THE END OF THE WORLD!!! Big Band Testing in Europe
Has anyone else seen all the hype about scientists trying to recreate the Big Bang? They said that there was a chance that the Unisverse with collapse if the experiment was a succes! What a pile of crap!!! For one thing if there really was a chance that the world would end WHY DO IT?!?!?!? Secondly how many millions have been wasted on a completely useless experiment!!!! Money that could have gone to helping third world countries and poor folk OR looking into more environmentaly friendly sources of power.I swae some people are just IDIOTSNow relax and apologies for the rant. How do you feel about all this?MOGANT
who here likes big band music?
it has been a few years since I have listened to some. but they were playing it on a station this morning. gotta admit I love those 1940s bands. in the mood and all those other classic songs.
Any fans of big band music or early jazz here?
I think the times during the 20's 30's and 40's were the beat for big band and jazz...imagine yourself sitting in a smokey speakeasy in Harlam and listening to hot jazz....
The big band from holland..
actually i don't like hardrock, funky metal, etc. but.. since i listen this one, it can change my style. i really like hardrock.. who want to share info about this band??
CERN to disprove god? Would you be convinced about evolution? WE ALL GONNA DIE?
Ive herd that CERN is going to put their particle accelerator to the test. Seems this is gonna be the biggest experiment mankind has ever conducted. This involves colliding two particles and studying them to discover what the universe is made up of and possibly HOW it was created. Many people fear that this experiment could create a black hole which could put an end to earth! Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated. What if (I'm assuming) they prove the big bang theory? Would you views on creationism change? What if they end up creating anti-matter? (As mentioned an one of Dan Brown`s books)
What type of music do you listen to.
I do not usually listen to music, but yesterday I decided to try Shoutcast, I was rather upset and I needed to take my mind off my troubles. I had had a web site that played the music I loved, but then it started to charge a fee and I could not afford it, so I went all through the Classical music section until I came to one that played Opera. I have been playing it for at least ten hours, although I have not been on the computer all that time. So what type of music do you listen to when you feel a little blue and have to pick yourself up from the doldrums?

What music that calm you the most?
Some of us have a different taste of music. When you are angry or sad, and you turn on the music, what music that calm you the most? When I am angry, I turn on loud speaker and listened to an upbeat music like the one that Bon jovi's had. It always make me calm again. How about you?
