Cheesey movies
What's the cheesiest movie you seen, mine would have to be Flying Viper,i watched a bit of it last night, and it was awful, there are plenty more but i can't remember the names
What is your favorite movie that Neil Diamond was in?
I loved The Jazz Singer. Neil sang some really terrific songs in the movie? The movie soundtrack was awesome too. I got a chance to see him in concert twice. He put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. He had a lot of energy and really connected with the audience. I also loved him in Saving silverman where he potrayed himself. The two main characters were obseesed with him. It was hysterical.
Foreclosure Claims Another High-Profile Victim
Ernestine Anderson, a jazz singer of note, has fallen victim to the “foreclosure craze.”The home in question belongs to Anderson’s parents and has belonged to them since 1946. The current principal balance is more than $450,000 on a loan that Anderson apparently should never have been given. She’s one of Seattle’s most respected names in music, with 30 albums and four Grammy nominations to her credit. But according to the article she was given a loan that she can ill afford on her Social Security benefits of about $1,000 a month. She’s in arrears more than $30,000 and her singing engagements are limited. At age 79 how many “gigs” can she expect in a year? While friends and family are attempting to raise $45,000 to settle immediate debts and taxes, that will only serve to help for the now. With an income of $1,000 a month, she cannot possibly make payments of $5,000 on the loan.Earlier, I wrote about Ed McMahon who is also in foreclosure. What gives? Do these people live high on the hog without making any provisions for an uncertain future?I truly feel sorry for people like her and McMahon (83), but is it SO important to live the high life when life is so...
5 Life Lessons. Which Is Your Favorite?
Check out the Five Lessons and tell me which one is your favorite.Subject: Five Lessons1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady. During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one:'What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?' Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. 'Absolutely,' said the professor 'In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say 'hello.'I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy. 2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain One night, at 11:3 0 p.m., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a...
Salena Jones
Salena Jones is jazz singer my favorite. How about you?
do you believe that musicians are good in bed???
My mom and dad are both musicians. Tey met in the 5 star hotel where they performed. My dad is a jazz pianist and my mom is a jazz singer. They fell inlove and get married. Unfortunately, six years after their marriage they separated because dad cheated on mom. When mom was pregnant to me she found out that dad's vocalist is also pregnant to dad. My dad is not a good looking guy but he is really charismatic. I have 5 half siblings with different moms. that's the evidence that dad's charisma is really powerful. LOL!Mom would always say that, "Your daddy has lots of girls . He is so passionate and so good in bed because he is a musician."Is it true that if you are a musician you are really good in bed? I would want to agree because I am a musician too. LOL!Why would mom always relates dad's talent on stage with his talent in bed? Can someone please elaborate to me why it is really related. Musicians, anybody here, give me some insights about this.:0)
Have you heard of Eliza Lumley?
She is a British Jazz singer who covers radiohead songs. Now i think radiohead is so close to perfect, but her covers are beautiful. She recently came out with a cd, I would highly recommend any radiohead fan checking her out!Have you heard of her? Have you heard any of her songs? Are you a fan?
Who would you interview?
I have had both the privilege and honor to interview some big names like Cartoonist Randy Glasbergen, Southern California Artist Phil Roberts, Children's Author Robert Munsch, Country Singer Andrew Dean, Jazz singer Diane Cameron Elam, and Cartoonist Jerry King. If you had the privilege to interview someone who would it be and what would be one question that you would ask them?
Singer deliberately substitutes words to the National Anthem in Denver ...
Hello All, "Denver's City Council president is getting hammered with hate-filled messages in response to Tuesday's surprise performance of the "Black National Anthem" by a jazz singer during a city event.Chanteuse René Marie had been invited by Mayor John Hickenlooper's office to sing the national anthem during his annual State of the City address.Council President Michael Hancock, the master of ceremonies, introduced Marie, who sang what is known as the "Black National Anthem" instead. Her performance evoked angry reactions among some of the estimated 700 people at the event."There is no substitute for the national anthem. Period," Councilman Charlie Brown said."This is the State of the City address. It's not an NAACP convention," he said, referring to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.Hickenlooper and his staff said they expected Marie to sing the "The Star-Spangled Banner" and that they were surprised when she sang something different. In a statement late Tuesday, Hickenlooper said: "I'm disappointed that this matter has been a distraction from the great work and significant accomplishments of our city employees over...
the last 10 people
okay this is one of those questions that really doesn't have one right answer, every answer is right but it is a great question to debate. There has been a nuclear holocaust 15 people survive. There is a boat that can take them to safety on a nuclear fallout free deserted island where they can start a new colony to preserve human kind. The trouble is there are only places for 10 people, five people will be left behind. Which ten would you choose, starting from the most important to the least important.which five would be left behind, and why. Here are the 15 people in no particular ordermr. and mrs brown from New york city, they are a young couple, newly married and do not yet have children3. a pastor from saginauy michigan (male)4. a doctor from London England (female)5. a chemist from Shanghai, China (female)6. an engineer from Montreal, Canada (male)7. a Farmer from Israel (male)8. a hollywood actor (male)9.
